Hi, I'm Kamil

I'm a 25-year-old full-stack software engineer from Poland, now based in the United Kingdom. I'm passionate about system architecture, web infrastructure, and distributed systems, tackling challenges in system design and scalability while writing clean, maintainable code. I work with Python for backend, React/TypeScript/Tailwind for frontend, and AWS for cloud infrastructure.

What do I do?

Currently, I'm working at Barclays, a multinational universal bank, where I'm developing a greenfield payment tracking initiative. This critical system provides real-time visibility across financial systems, establishing centralised payment operations intelligence at enterprise scale.

Previously, I worked at Badger Maps, a San Francisco-based sales software startup helping field teams plan routes and manage their territories, and loopsio, a dynamic student-driven tech agency engineering bespoke software solutions for clients. I also served as a Fractional Lead Developer for a Scottish award-winning startup creating data-driven business modeling tools for entrepreneurs (hire #1).

Outside of work

In my free time, I'm building allocate, a calendar web product with a custom LLM pipeline that turns unstructured speech into scheduled, context-enriched events. I'm also working on pail, a durable job queue with first-class queryable job state, implemented entirely on S3. You can explore my open-source work on GitHub.

When I'm not coding, you'll find me running, playing table tennis or blitz chess, watching films, or getting lost in a good book.
